For the majority of people, massages are a therapeutic experience that helps them with body ache and stress. But for physically active people like athletes, it is quite a different story. Not just athletes, even gym-goers, people who exercise, and even people on their feet all day might need massages to help them recover from soreness. For physically active people, massages are an everyday essential.
Even though the dull ache after a good workout may invoke a sense of satisfaction, recovering from them sometimes can prove to be a long and painful process. Muscle soreness and stiffness are common problems for almost everyone, regardless of how much physical activity you indulge yourself into. We all find ourselves stretching and pulling ourselves into weird positions just to get some comfort from that ache that’s been bothering us all day.
Deep Tissue Massages – Why do we need them?
This soreness might affect day to day activities, including walking up the stairs. Dealing with this pain can get annoying sometimes as it limits mobility. Everyday tasks become a hurdle. A slow recovery might also affect athletes who might miss training because of soreness.
Deep tissue massages address these muscle problems from the inside. What makes deep tissue massages different from the others? Well, as the name probably suggests, there’s a lot of pressure used in this kind of massage. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes. Masseurs work deep into your muscles to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. They use their hands, knuckles and fingers, working their way over your body. This type of massage includes the use of oil, which also moisturises your skin.
Who is Deep Tissue massage for?
Since deep tissue massages are more intense when compared to the other types of massages, it is not recommended for everyone. Deep tissue works best for people who involve themselves in intense physical activities. Athletes, gym-goers, bodybuilders, all need deep tissue massages often to maintain optimum performance. Apart from them, even people engaging themselves in physical labour will find comfort in our Deep Tissue Massage. Everyone from professionals who sit on their chairs all day, to homemakers who are on their feet all day, will find comfort in our deep tissue massages.
How can Deep Tissue enhance my workouts?
Massages are excellent supplements to body workouts. As you work out, micro-tears get created in your muscle fibres. Deep tissue massages help you recover faster, which helps you get better results from your workout, faster.
